COMPETE AT THE CRUCIBLE
CRUCIBLE DARTS MONEY LEAGUE
Our in-house Darts Money League has helped grow competitive darts locally for many years. The format provides players with regular competitive matches in a social but challenging environment. The league also played a part in the development of professional players including Luke Humphries and Jason Heaver.
Weekly Matches
All players play two matches each week consisting of 5 legs. Every Leg won accrues money.
Chalking
In the spirit of the game, all players are required to chalk 1 or 2 matches on the match night.
HIGHEST CHECKOUT
There is a weekly cash proze for the highest check out every Thursday evening.
PRIZE MONEY
Everyone who enters the Cash League will win some money. Cash is accrued by every leg won .
LEAGUE RANKINGS
Ranking points will be earned each week and a weekly league table will be published
ALL ABILITIES WELCOME
The Darts money league is very friendly with players of all abilities, new players are always welcome.
Luke Humphries
🌟 From Crucible Prospect to World Champion
The Crucible Newbury is incredibly proud to have played a small part in the development of one of darts’ greatest success stories – Luke Humphries.
Long before becoming a World Champion and one of the biggest names in professional darts, Luke was a regular player at The Crucible, competing in our in-house Darts Money Leagues and local competitions. Even at a young age, his talent was clear for everyone to see. As we hosted exhibitions featuring professional darts players, Luke was often invited to play exhibition matches and regularly defeated established professionals, demonstrating the potential that would eventually take him to the very top of the sport.
Luke continued his development through the PDC Youth Development Tour, where he quickly established himself as one of the country’s brightest young talents. His success on the youth circuit paved the way for a professional career, earning his place on the PDC tour and allowing him to compete against the world’s best players.
Since then, Luke has gone on to achieve incredible success, winning major televised titles and ultimately becoming PDC World Champion, inspiring a new generation of darts players along the way.
At The Crucible, we are honoured to have been part of Luke’s early journey and continue to follow his success with immense pride. His story demonstrates what can be achieved through hard work, dedication and a passion for the game.
