HOUSE RULES
Welcome to Crucible Newbury
Our aim is to provide a friendly, safe and enjoyable environment for all members, guests and visitors.
By entering the Club, you agree to comply with these House Rules. They are designed to ensure everyone can enjoy our facilities while helping us maintain the high standards that Crucible Newbury is known for.
- All visitors must hold a valid membership or purchase a Day Pass where available.
- Membership is personal and cannot be transferred or shared.
- Annual memberships should be renewed before their expiry date.
- Members are responsible for keeping their contact details up to date.
- Members are responsible for the conduct of any guests they introduce to the Club.
- Management reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership where these House Rules are breached.
We ask everyone to treat fellow members, visitors and staff with courtesy and respect.
Please:
- Be respectful to everyone.
- Follow reasonable instructions given by Club staff.
- Help maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
- Respect other members using the facilities.
The following behaviour will not be tolerated:
- Violence or threatening behaviour
- Harassment, bullying or discrimination
- Abusive or offensive language
- Criminal or illegal activity
- Possession, use or supply of illegal drugs
- Deliberate damage to Club property
Anyone behaving inappropriately may be refused entry, asked to leave immediately and/or have their membership suspended or terminated.
- Alcohol may only be consumed if purchased from Crucible Newbury.
- Alcohol must not be brought onto or removed from the premises unless authorised by management.
- Staff reserve the right to refuse the sale or service of alcohol.
- Anyone appearing intoxicated may be refused service or asked to leave.
- The Club operates a Challenge 25 policy where appropriate.
- Smoking and vaping are only permitted within designated outdoor smoking areas.
- Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult after 7:00 pm.
- Parents and guardians remain responsible for children at all times.
- Junior members are expected to respect Club equipment, staff and fellow members.
Appropriate clothing and footwear must be worn.
The Club reserves the right to refuse entry where clothing is considered unsuitable or offensive.
Children remain the responsibility of their parent or guardian at all times.
Junior members may only use facilities in accordance with Club rules and safeguarding requirements.
Please help us maintain our playing facilities.
- Table lights must be switched on before play.
- All equipment must be treated with care.
- Sitting or leaning on tables is prohibited.
- Food and drinks must be kept away from playing surfaces.
- Equipment should be returned after use.
- Mobile phones should be kept on silent wherever possible.
- Please respect players who are practising or competing.
Members may be charged for the repair or replacement of equipment damaged through negligence or misuse.
Tables, boards and playing areas may be reserved for:
- League matches
- Club competitions
- Coaching sessions
- Television productions
- Live broadcasts
- Exhibitions
- Private functions
- Special events
Reserved facilities are unavailable until released by Club staff.
During live broadcasts or television productions, members and visitors may be asked to remain quiet or avoid certain areas while filming is taking place.
- Only food and drink purchased from Crucible Newbury may be consumed on the premises unless prior permission has been given by management.
- Please dispose of rubbish responsibly.
- Help us keep the Club clean and tidy.
Members and visitors are responsible for their own vehicles, clothing and personal belongings.
Crucible Sports Limited accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal property unless required by law.
CCTV operates throughout the Club for the safety and security of members, visitors, staff and property.

Photography and filming regularly take place during tournaments, exhibitions, coaching sessions and television productions.
By attending the Club during public events, you acknowledge that you may appear in photographs, video recordings or live broadcasts used for promotional, editorial or broadcast purposes.
If you have concerns regarding photography, please speak to a member of staff.
Crucible Sports Limited reserves the right to:
- Refuse admission.
- Refuse the sale of alcohol or other services.
- Ask any person to leave the premises.
- Suspend or terminate memberships.
- Amend these House Rules where necessary.
- Close or restrict access to any part of the Club for maintenance, events or operational reasons.
